My Bullant power bogies arrived today – built to order and delivered from Australia in exactly a week, for a very reasonable price. Now how’s that for service?
The Lxd2 kit is designed to use the bogies and motor from a Roco N gauge chassis, so I will have to come up with a workaround to fit the Bullants, but the powered unit runs incredibly smoothly and is very controllable at low speeds – no doubt thanks that (proportionately) big flywheel.
The power bogie is a shade under 25mm high. Here it is next to a British £2 coin, for comparison.
