A message from the boss
exhibition marketing O14
A message from the boss, originally uploaded by fairlightworks.
I’m due to be helping out on the KBscale stand at Narrow Gauge at the end of the month. Yesterday a crucial piece of marketing propaganda arrived in the post.
While I wouldn’t quite describe it as love just yet, I have been developing a bit of a “thing” for O-14 since meeting David Janes, the guy who has bought and resuscitated Roy C. Link’s range of kits. O-14 is pretty self explanatory, really – it’s 7mm scale on 14mm track giving a dead-on representation of 2′ gauge track. This suits the small, industrial prototypes of the range, which can look a bit strange when stretched to the more common O-16.5.
I’m building a really, really tiny O-14 layout as a prospective entry to the 2008 ExpoNG challenge, so I’ll be writing more about that in due course. Only the three scales on the go now then…
