Sussex Downs Members Day 2011
009 exhibition model-railways narrow-gaugeThis weekend saw the third OO9 Society Members’ Day hosted by the Sussex Downs group. The previous two events have been small but well-organised shows with a good line up of layouts, and this time was no exception. In attendance was non other than the legendary Dovey Valley by Dick Wyatt, as well as Garn, Charlie Insley’s Kinwardine Wharf and two large layouts by club members – Phil Savage’s DHR project based on the Batasia spiral and Ghum, and Martin Collins’ Ffestiniog-inspired Llandecwyn.
Due to having to cut the visit short to handle a family incident I didn’t get a chance to take many photos, however for your further reading pleasure there is a great report by group member Michael Campbell, and more pictures from Tom.
So thanks go to the Sussex Downs group for all their hard work in putting on another great day – and I’m looking forward to next time!
